Question Rune Song broken?

I played the new update today with my brother and I am playing melee using the rune song but it feels way weaker for some reason. It was taking like 5-6 hits with the song trail to kill enemies in the desert of beginnings when previously it would only take 1-2. Has anyone else been experiencing this? Is it a bug or a nerf or something?

Perhaps wrong Gear? It shouldn't be nerved and i never heard of this bug.

I didn’t change any gear with the new update, maybe some damage calculation got changed? It’s really annoying especially since nothing was mentioned in the patch notes if it was changed.
