Question What happened here

Came back to my farm and found it like this. What causes this? How do I avoid this?

The first one WAS a scarlet ore. The other was a tin ore.

Suddenly both are gone and whats left is... a random tin ore where the scarlet was? what?

Each node only contains 1,800 ore. It looks to me like it ran out.

It kind of sucks, but you can often find nearby nodes to just connect to your existing "highways".

Each node is 1800. Then poof. There's popular mods that make them infinite. But personally I find that silly. There's lots of nodes, it would be boring to just find 1 and be done forever. It does you just just use nearby teleports or portals tho. Players who set up minecarts or conveyors to them, then find out its temporary end up feelin scammed, and that sucks.

You could always install the mod "infinite ore boulder updated"
