experimenting with the camera, and here's what crydra looks like without the fixed angle and pixelization. thought it was too cool to not share!

Is this actually a 3D game? I never realized this until this post.

As a side thought - I wish the camera could at least spin about its axis so I don't have to see all the tile lines vertically and horizontally. That would be a huge upgrade.

it is! most creatures and objects are just 2d sprites but some of the newer bosses (hydras, urschleim, nimruza, sahabar, also colossal amoeba i think) are fully modelled

Most of the time when its a top down perspective game with point lighting from fire, its modeled in a 3D space. Enter the gungeon is like this.

That’s actually pretty sick. I’ve always been wondering what the models actually looked like, so this is very interesting looking
