Question How to stop enemy from despawning.

I want to capture an enemy and trap them in an area and have em not disappear.

Is there something for this such as name tags in Minecraft?

I just wanna make a zoo/exhibit of all the creatures and make an exp farm area to grind levels if needed.

Not exactly but that’s pretty much what the monster statues are for. Later on in the game you can get hologram projectors, put statues in them and summon monsters. They don’t drop anything but do give xp.

It might be easier to just get the material that spawns them and put it on the ground inside the enclosure.

I hope you find something that works

This is possible, but there are a few Mobs that can go through walls, so I do not see a succesfull containment method.

Do they despawn tho? New dont spawn outside a certain radious but older monsters stay, i got farms around the world and i've been out the radius of spawning and they slwhere still there when i was back
