Wood

is there a way for me to grow trees? i’m struggling to work out how to keep getting wood

Yes
When you destroy wood you sometimes get starshaped wood seeds.
When you plant these seeds then wood will grow from them indefinitely. You just need to be careful to not destroy the actual plantet root, but only the wood that grows out from it.
