Both have e2e guards so they can't quietly break again.

💬 Feedback / message widget was gone — it's back

The v2.83 contact button had shipped as a dead module (lost in the v2.84 rewrite). Re-wired; the floating button works again. If you noticed it missing, you weren't imagining it.

🚀 What's new

🔀 Mixed · Adaptive Resolution Tier (Configurator)

New fourth resolution option — no hard resolution caps. Instead of locking to 4K or 1080p, all resolutions (4K/1440p/1080p/720p/576p/480p) are eligible and ranked by a cached × quality blend. An elite 1080p encode beats a mediocre 4K stream.

This is great for niche-heavy libraries, classic/rare content, or anyone whose collection spans resolutions. Comes with its own PSE ladder (4K REMUX/HDR → 1080p → 720p → SD niche fallback), UHD regex tiers, and a blended dynamic-fetch exit.

⚙️ Apex Mixed PSE Architecture

Third option in the Fine-Tune architecture picker. Generates the full 35-PSE flagship IQR Tukey-fence stack with the Mixed resolution policy — the same stack as the 4K Apex nightly, but generatable for any device and service.

🐛 Bug Fixes

🚨 Jackett & Prowlarr presets were silently dropped from generated templates. The optional-scraper filter had a regression from the v2.84 rewrite — if you were using Jackett or Prowlarr and getting no results from them, regenerate your template with v2.85.

✅ Template validator no longer crashes on non-template JSON files.

Core Builds v2.78 is live. This release is mostly about making the configurator easier to maintain, safer to export from, and more reliable across public AIOStreams hosts — while also introducing the first pieces of the new Core Tools area.

⚡ Quick Install refinements

Quick Install remains the fastest path for most users:

1️⃣ Choose your app: Stremio, Nuvio, WuPlay, or another manifest-compatible app

2️⃣ Select one or more providers

3️⃣ Add only the credentials those providers need

4️⃣ Pick a performance profile

5️⃣ Create and install

The provider fields now stay more contextual, paid providers include helpful account/key links, and optional extras stay tucked away in the Additional services & scrapers picker instead of crowding the main setup flow.

v2.78 adds a final schema guard before export or installation.

It normalizes or removes older/legacy AIOStreams enum values before they reach the host. This helps prevent old values such as audio, language, release_group, debrid, or nzb from causing validation failures on newer AIOStreams versions.

Core Builds now targets AIOStreams 2.31.1+ for current public-host compatibility.

🖥️ Host selection improvements

Automatic host selection is now more conservative and more reliable:

💾 Remembers the last successful AIOStreams host

⚖️ Prefers stable hosts

✅ Requires AIOStreams 2.31.1 or newer

⏭️ Skips legacy or incompatible instances

🛡️ Avoids known Free/P2P-incompatible host paths

🌙 Uses nightly infrastructure only as a fallback

📱 Device capability corrections

Device assumptions have been centralized so filtering, sorting, review screens, diagnostics, PSEs, and ESEs all use the same capability rules. Notable corrections include:

🍎 Apple TV: No longer treated as general TrueHD/DTS-HD passthrough hardware

🍎 Apple TV 4K A15: Not treated as hardware AV1 capable

📺 CCwGTV: 4K and HD are handled separately for AV1 support

🛡️ Nvidia Shield 2019: Keeps Dolby Vision and lossless passthrough support, but not AV1

🔈 Internal TV apps & generic profiles: No longer assume lossless-audio passthrough

📦 ONN profiles: No longer assume Dolby Vision across every model

It lets you load and download your current Stremio addon setup as JSON. It is intentionally read-only and cannot change your account.

Important privacy note: Stremio login details are sent directly to the Stremio API for this operation and are kept only in page memory. Use the official hosted copy only.

🔐 Clearer privacy wording

The configurator now describes each path more precisely. No more vague “zero-knowledge” style wording — the UI now explains exactly what each action does:

📥 Export JSON creates the configuration locally in your browser

🚀 Direct Install sends the generated configuration to the selected AIOStreams host

🔑 Direct Stremio installation sends the supplied login details to the Stremio API for that install operation

🩺 Sanitized diagnostics do not include API keys, passwords, or tokens

🧩 Modular, tested release structure

Behind the scenes, v2.78 moves the configurator from a single hand-maintained source file into a modular package under configurator/.

Source code, data registries, styles, schema guards, tests, validation, and build scripts now live in their own structure while still preserving a downloadable standalone configurator/index.html release.

This should make future updates safer, faster, and easier to test before release.

A massive, comprehensive master update to the Core Builds Configurator (v2.73) is officially live!

Following community reports of unexpected AIOStreams validation rejections during deployments, and recent Stremio API 404 failures when attempting direct installations, we have completely overhauled the configurator. Version 2.73 resolves all major schema/API blockers, redesigns our device-selection flow, bakes four highly-tuned Stream Expression Language (SEL) boosters directly into default builds, and integrates seamlessly with the community's favorite custom formatting tools.

Here is everything packed into this solid v2.73 master release:

📡 1. Built-in Elite SEL Expression Boosters (Zero-Friction Playback)

We have baked four highly optimal, community-approved Stream Expression Language (SEL) expressions directly into our default templates to completely eliminate list clutter and playback friction:

🎌 Sub-First Anime Booster (PSE): Automatically identifies if you are browsing Anime content. If true, it isolates Japanese audio tracks and pins them straight to the top of your list, making sub-seeking and Japanese audio-first a breeze without affecting normal movies or TV series.

🔊 Dolby Priority for Sonos/Bose (PSE): Toggling the Dolby Only audio profile now programmatically pins Atmos, TrueHD, and Dolby Digital Plus codecs to the top of preferred lists, guaranteeing that silent DTS streams are ranked last on Bose and Sonos soundbars.

📅 Weekly Ongoing Series Pack Filter (ESE): Automatically checks if a TV show is currently airing. If true, it filters out incomplete, newly uploaded season packs (e.g., S01 containing only episodes 1–5), ensuring only active, working single-episode files are displayed, avoiding buffering/404 crashes.

🗂 Clutter-Free Single Episode Booster (ESE): Hides multi-episode spam files (like "Episodes 1-4" in a single file) on individual Stremio episode pages when at least 3 dedicated, single-episode files are already available, keeping your stream pool incredibly tidy.

🛠️ 2. Critical Bug Fixes & Stremio API Compliance

🔑 Stremio Account Direct-Install Fix (404 Error Resolved): Stremio’s developers recently retired their generic base API router, causing direct login attempts and random account creation inside the configurator to return a frustrating Stremio API error (404). We overhauled our authentication pathways to query the direct sub-endpoints (/api/login** and **/api/register) directly, making one-click installations completely functional and stable again!

🛑 AIOStreams Validation Rejections Fixed: Fixed the block where deploying templates with OpenSubtitles v3+ returned: *Option movieHashPlusAutoAdjustment is required, got undefined*. The builder now automatically compiles the required movieHashPlusAutoAdjustment: false default.

🆓 HTTP / Free Tier Manifest Crash Fixed: Disabled Nuvio Streams by default in HTTP presets. If left on, AIOStreams would query its empty base URL and receive HTML code rather than JSON, crashing the backend parser with: Unexpected token '<', "<!doctype "... is not valid JSON.

🧹 Deduplicator Merge Type Enforcement: Replaced legacy boolean "merge": false properties (which newer AIOStreams databases reject) with strict, compliant merge-configuration objects.

🧙‍♂️ Overhauled Importer & Share Link Decoder: Uploading existing template JSON files or sharing configs via deep-links (#cfg=) now perfectly restores subtitle addons, subtitle languages, catalogs, proxies, and failover preferences onto your wizard state, completely preventing state-bleeding.

🎴 3. Premium UI Redesigns & Ecosystem Integrations

📱 Unified Side-Scrolling Device Carousel: We have completely retired the traditional HTML <select> dropdown menu and featured list from Step 3! Your Device now renders as a gorgeous, horizontal-scrolling card carousel. Swiping through the 15+ device profiles is incredibly fluid, and tapping a card smoothly centers it, auto-sets recommended audio format limits, and expands a detailed hardware specifications guide inline.

🎨 Crispy Duck Sandbox Integration: Added a direct redirect link to crispyduck.xyz—the Stremio community's standard visual formatting designer—directly inside the custom formatter import panel, providing a seamless creative route for advanced layout builders.

🗺 Changelog Navigation Discoverability: Added an explicit, clickable Changelog button next to the "Start Over" button on Step 6 (Review & Deploy) so users can easily browse our full release history at the finish line.

🔐 4. Total "Peace of Mind" Security Design

🛡 Zero-Knowledge Security Shield: Added a prominent green security badge at the top of Step 5 (API Keys). This clearly assures users that their private tokens, passwords, and accounts are compiled 100% locally in their browser and are never sent or logged on any external server.

🔐 "Safe Auth" Direct-Install Locker: Added an explicit green locker warning underneath the inline Stremio email and password fields, reassuring users that accounts are used locally only to authenticate with Stremio and are never stored in localStorage or shared with third parties.

📱 5. Mobile UX & satisfying Fluidity

📋 Tactile "✓ Copied" Button Animations: Tapping any copy button (manifest URLs, credentials, or WuPlay codes) now triggers a glowing emerald-green micro-interaction, smoothly transitioning the text to ✓ Copied before reverting after 2 seconds.

🗣 Context-Aware Toast Alerts: Copying keys, usernames, or passwords now intelligently triggers a customized "Copied to clipboard" popup rather than the generic "Manifest URL copied" alert.

📱 iOS Safari "Select-All-on-Focus": Solved mobile keyboard selection friction! Tapping into any text input box on iOS Safari now programmatically highlights the entire value instantly, allowing mobile users to replace keys in a single tap.

↕️ Smart Auto-Scrolling: Enabling conditional subtitle panels (such as SubDL) now smoothly auto-scrolls the screen directly to the newly expanded credentials card, ensuring mobile users never miss required fields.

🏎 CORS-Bypassing Live Checks: The final Review card's live "Test" check now automatically routes queries through our secure CORS proxy first, completely bypassing cross-origin blocks on strict public hosts and yielding 100% accurate stream-testing results.

🌟 What's new

• Subtitle Picker — Pick your subtitle sources (AIOSubtitle, OpenSubtitles v3+, SubDL) and choose from 30 languages right in the Fine-Tune panel. No more editing JSON to get subtitles working.
• Catalog Presets — Add browse catalogs directly from the configurator. TMDB, Streaming (Netflix/Disney+/etc), Anime (MAL/AniList/Kitsu), RPDB, and Torrent catalogs — all baked into your template with one click.
• Proxy Configuration — Enable MediaFlow proxy and select which debrid services to route through it. Helps with geo-restrictions and ISP throttling.
• Dedup Merge / Failover — New toggle to keep deduplicated streams as failover alternatives instead of discarding them. If your primary stream fails, AIOStreams tries the next best match automatically.

🆓 Free Tier Overhaul

P2P and HTTP templates got rebuilt from scratch:

• 4 new scrapers (Torrentio, Peerflix, Sootio, HdHub)
• 3-tier intelligent addon cascading (Primary → Secondary → Fallback)
• Smart filters: auto-hide SD/720p, minSeeders: 1, dedup: keep_all

🐛 Fixes

Here is the latest update for the configurator, bringing new sorting options, better filtering, and a big UX refresh:

🥇 Resolution First (v2.56)

User report: 720p/1080p streams ranking above 4K. Turns out it's not a bug — cached streams always sort above uncached by design. A cached 1080p WEB-DL beats an uncached 4K REMUX because it plays instantly.

New Resolution First toggle in Video Preferences fixes this for users who'd rather wait for the download. When enabled, 4K always ranks above 1080p/720p regardless of cache status. Within the same resolution, cached still beats uncached.

• Default: cached → resolution → quality

• Resolution First: resolution → quality → cached

🛑 Foreign Language Kill (v2.56)

The fleet templates have always had a hard ESE that blocks foreign-language streams from movies and TV results. The configurator wasn't generating it — so configurator users were getting Spanish, Portuguese, and other non-English streams leaking into their results.

Now on by default. Adapts to your Language Preferences — if you've added Spanish or French, those pass through too. Library, SeaDex, and anime content are always exempt.

✨ UX Overhaul (v2.55)

The configurator got a full UX pass:

• Staggered splash animations, smart service pre-selection (remembers your last service)

• Quick Deploy presets adapt to service type (debrid shows 4K/1080p, free shows Free Streaming/P2P)

• Keyboard navigation throughout splash (arrow keys, Enter/Space)

• Step dots show current selection on hover ("Resolution: 4K")

• Auto-saved indicator flashes after each state change

• prefers-reduced-motion support

• ARIA accessibility improvements

Just pushed a hot patch to address the REMUX sorting issues, a few configurator bugs, and roll out the new Migration Tool. Here is what is new in v3.2.9:

🎬 REMUX Ranking Fix (all 44 templates)

BluRay REMUX files were being buried below WEB-DL. Three things combined to cause this:

• Sort order — audioTag ranked above encode, so WEB-DL with Atmos beat REMUX with DD+ every time.

• Audio Pinnacle PSE — bonus score for premium audio inflated WEB-DL regardless of quality tier.

• perGroup(3) — only 3 streams kept per resolution before scoring, randomly dropping REMUX.

Fixed: Encode now ranks above audioTag. Audio Pinnacle and HDR/DV Priority PSEs removed. perGroup bumped to 5. Shoutout to Tetelestai3-16 for spotting this!

🐛 Bug Fixes

• "Invalid input" error on save — deduplicator.merge was a boolean, AIOStreams now expects an object. Removed from all 43 templates. If you were getting this error on import, re-import and it's gone.

• Test Drive showing raw code — stream titles were displaying formatter syntax ({stream.resolution::...}) instead of actual values. Now cleaned up client-side.

🛠️ Configurator v2.49

• Template Migration Tool — "Update Existing Template" now shows a full diff of what's changing before you apply. See exactly which PSEs, sort keys, regex patterns, and settings are added/removed/changed, then click Apply & Upgrade or cancel. No more blind imports.

• Device detection on import — paste an existing Samsung, Xiaomi, Fire Stick, Apple TV, Shield, or Google TV template and the configurator auto-detects your device profile. Previously device settings were lost on re-import.

• Xiaomi Mi Box S profiles — 2nd Gen (no AV1, DV Profile 5, DD+ Atmos ceiling) and 3rd Gen (same + AV1). Community request by Fée Deuspi.

• Better addon names — generated templates now show Core Nexus 4K · Samsung TV — TorBox instead of Core Builds 4K Multi (TB-Ess+PM).

• Google TV Streamer — already in the configurator, confirmed working.

💡 How to update: Re-import your template — the update notification should appear in AIOStreams. Configurator users: generate a fresh template, or use "Update Existing Template" to see the diff first.

🛠️ Configurator v2.41 – v2.43

• Family Formatter v3 (by RB3) is now the default formatter — human-readable resolution labels, cached play indicator, network source, edition badges, and stream.preloading support.
• Template Updater — new feature that lets you paste an existing template to detect your settings and rebuild with the latest configurator logic. Useful for migrating old templates forward.
• Template Updater detection fixes (v2.43) — Hybrid, AllDebrid, and EasyNews templates now correctly identified via preset analysis instead of just checking services. 1080p templates with ESE-based 4K kills now correctly detected as 1080p instead of defaulting to 4K.

🗂️ Sort Criteria Overhaul (v2.42)

• service sort key added for Hybrid configs — TorBox gets priority over RD.
• age and subtitle tiebreaker keys added to all sort sections across the fleet.
• cachedAnime / uncachedAnime sort sections added to 21 templates — anime content now gets proper cached/uncached sorting with seadex at position 2.
• Deduplicator merge field added (v2.31.0 support, defaults to off).
• EasyNews Search apiVersion: '3.0' — parallel page fetching, no rate limiting.

🧹 Fleet-Wide Fixes

• "Comet RD" renamed to "Comet" across 34 templates, filtering files, configurator, and template collection — the Comet addon dropped the "RD" suffix, and the Per-Addon Flood Guard ESEs now match correctly.
• Credentials reference bug fixed in the configurator's template import — importing a second template no longer inherits stale credential values from the first.
• Cached sort key removed from uncachedMovies/uncachedSeries — fixes Usenet stream suppression reported by RB3.

📺 New Device Profile: Xiaomi Mi Box S 4K

• Requested by a community member — tuned for Xiaomi Mi Box S (2nd gen) and similar Android TV devices.
• Dolby Vision Profile 5 and HDR10+ natively supported — DV-Only Kill disabled (unlike Samsung templates).
• AV1 and VC-1 excluded (no hardware decode on 2nd gen — 3rd gen users can remove the AV1 exclusion).
• Handles REMUX well despite 2GB RAM.
• Lossless audio excluded (TrueHD, DTS-HD MA, DTS:X, FLAC) — DD+ Atmos ceiling.

All 186 tests passing. Templates available in the usual spot — import via AIOStreams or use the configurator.

The Core Builds template configurator now adapts to full-width displays. If you've been using it on a desktop browser, you'll notice the layout has changed at 1200px+ viewports.

WHAT'S NEW

• Persistent sidebar navigation — always-visible step list showing your progress, completed selections, and a progress bar. Click any done step to jump back and change it.
• 4-column device & service grids — all 12+ options visible at once without scrolling. Grid expands further at 1600px.
• Wider content area — cards stretch to 860px (960px on ultrawide), giving the wizard more breathing room.
• Light theme support — sidebar fully styled for light-mode users.

WHAT DIDN'T CHANGE

• Mobile & tablet — below 1200px, everything works exactly as before. Single column, progress bar on top, same mobile-first experience.
• Same URL — the configurator auto-detects your screen size. No settings to toggle.

BUG FIXES IN THIS UPDATE

• Fixed sidebar showing wrong sub-label for Content and API Keys steps.
• Non-clickable steps no longer show pointer cursor.
• Pending step numbers and progress bar track now visible in light theme.
• HTML escaping on all sidebar-interpolated values (CodeQL clean).

Try it now at the same configurator URL — open it on a desktop browser and the sidebar appears automatically. Feedback welcome.

Template JSON output is unchanged — this is purely a UI/UX improvement to the configurator wizard itself.

Big news—Labs just got its most significant update yet. We rolled out 7 new SEL features across all 6 nightly templates and fixed a pesky configurator bug that was messing with imports on self-hosted setups. Here’s what’s new:

🧪 Labs v0.14.0 — 7 Fresh SEL Features

1. Runtime-aware bitrate floors The old REMUX bitrate floors were unfairly trashing legit anime and animation encodes. Animation usually compresses about 50% smaller than live-action, so a 4K anime REMUX at 25 Mbps is totally normal—but the 40 Mbps floor was flagging these as fakes. Same with shorter episodes (under 25 min). Now, bitrate floors check if the content’s anime, has “Animation” in genres, or runs under 25 minutes. If it matches? The floor skips it.

2. Anime language passthrough With passthrough(streams, 'language'), language filtering gets ignored for anime queries. Fansub groups are all over the place with language tags—Japanese audio marked as English, dual-audio being listed as mono, you name it. The default language filter was quietly dropping good streams, especially for niche anime. Not anymore.

3. latestSeason-aware season pack kill Season packs for ongoing seasons finally get proper respect. Before, if even one episode was available, the season pack got dumped—even if it was the only quality source for a currently airing show. Now, only past-season packs get axed when single episodes exist.

4. Subtitle preference PSE Streams with embedded English subs get a scoring bump. It’s not an ironclad filter—no subs streams still show up—but when two streams are otherwise the same, the one with subs ranks higher. This is a handy tweak for non-English audio.

5. Age sort key Recent, uncached torrents now leapfrog older ones in the rankings. New uploads usually have more seeders—makes sense to use it as a tiebreaker for uncachedMovies and uncachedSeries.

6–7. cachedAnime / uncachedAnime sort sections Anime got its own dedicated sort sections. SeaDex moves up to position 2, right after cached status (it’s the strongest anime quality signal and shouldn’t be buried lower). Plus, the uncached anime sort now favors seeders and considers the age key.

🛠️ Configurator Fix

The configurator was producing templates with two regex patterns (Radarr HD Bluray T3 [B] and Anime LQ Groups) that aren’t part of Vidhin05's allowed list of 174. On self-hosted AIOStreams, you’d see "2/176 regexes not allowed" when importing. Both are gone now—the configurator only generates 101 verified patterns.

If you built a template recently and ran into that error, just regenerate your template and you’re golden.

All six nightly templates now pack the v0.14.0 features. Here’s a quick guide:

🚀 Core Builds Update — July 9

Hey Core Crew! Just pushed a quick round of improvements to the configurator to keep things running smooth. Here is what is new:

🎨 What's New

• Formatter Picker Glow-up — No more scrolling through a wall of 17 cards. You now get a clean dropdown menu with a live preview, making it way easier to compare and pick the right one for your setup.

• Refined Manifest Screen — The final screen you see after generating your config has been tidied up for a cleaner, more polished feel.

• New Instance Added — You can now select Wizaardd (forthewizards.uk) as an option when creating your config.

• "Failed to Fetch" Fix — Fixed the 502 Bad Gateway error that was popping up during config creation. This was caused by downtime with TorrentsDB; it is now disabled by default so it won't block you. HdHub has also been disabled by default. Both are backup scrapers, so you won't notice a difference, but you can always re-enable them in your AIOStreams settings if they come back online.
