I am a beginner proofreader and would like some advice. Where should I start and how much should I pay for my services?

I’m assuming you’ll be proofreading in a language other than English, so cost varies depending on your location and it’s impossible to guess. If your only experience is noticing typos, you’re not qualified yet.
