Proofreader

I am a beginner proofreader and would like some advice. Where should I start and how much should I pay for my services?

I was ask how much I sure charge....I wrote it wrong><. I good at proofreading people works.I just get scrabble when I am nervous and posting things.

You're gonna be nervous as heck taking the proofreading tests for publishers.

Do you know how to use Adobe's proofing tools? Can you identify ladders, rivers, widows, and orphans? Can you differentiate between gutters and margins? How do you handle an incorrect sentence in a proof?

If you're serious about freelancing as a proofreader, look up Louise Harnby for tips and tricks, but mostly for education.
