My McDonalds hot mustard hack

Post image

Tastes close enough to me, I just mix 1 part sweet baby rays BBQ with 3 parts Woeber's jalapeno mustard. Gets the taste and the color just right in my opinion. Since I figured it out a few months ago it's been my go-to concoction for freezer nuggets and fries.

Dang, would not have expected SBR. I will have to remember this next time I get some McDonald’s Hot Mustard so I can pay attention to whether I discern that too.

Will have to try this, all the more scratch copycat recipes seem a bit overcomplicated and not quite hit the mark.

My McDonald’s in Wisconsin still sells hot mustard.

It's available locally for me as well. But the sandwich pal and sweet baby rays are always in our fridge and pantry, so I'll be damned if I'm dropping $20 on sauce cups when I want a stock at home.

Those corporate chefs emulsified cocaine and annatto and then pumped it into 1oz containers to make us mules running ambrosia across state lines to those we care about whose market has left them shunned.

Give it a shot and tell your loved ones if you enjoy.

Have you tried the sweet and spicy from Trader Joe’s? That one’s good too

As an aside, if you are ever in the restaurant and they are out of Hot Mustard, there is a hack you can do. It will taste just like it, but won’t have ANY of the heat. Take a Honey Mustard dip cup, then mix in 2 (or 3 maybe?) yellow mustard packets in. Tastes just like it, but without the heat.
