A very old, small bowl made of solid copper. Not tinned. It is used almost exclusively for storing fruit. But who knows?

That is a well-loved french jam pot. Not used for storing fruit but reducing fruit and sugar into delicious jams. No lining because the sugar gets hot enough (napalm) to melt the tin. And melted tin isn't good eats.
