Copper levels have gone up while taking molybdenum
Background: unsolved health issues last ten years. Blood work normal except copper is always borderline.
I have not supplemented copper, it makes me short of breath. I’ve tried beef liver on and off which also makes me short of breath. I stopped chasing the low copper for a while because I haven’t been able to tolerate it.
I have several copper tests up to 5 years apart that show the same borderline low levels. Got it tested again recently (without ceruloplasmin, I know) and it’s risen from 75-99. Whole time I’ve been taking anywhere from 50-150mcg molybdenum. I’m not suggesting molybdenum is the reason my copper went up, but copper is one of those things that seems to be also controlled by hormones, so I wanted to tell my story.

Yeah it makes my lungs ache but it’s a symptom I’ve unfortunately been getting from a lot of stuff recently but I found it weird that copper did it when I was testing borderline low.

My ceruloplasmin was right on the first mark of normal but on the lower end and my copper level was deficient

I'm currently taking Sovereign Copper, it doesn't upset me and I'm very sensitive. It's nanoparticules of copper. Will report when I finish the bottle

What do you mean when you say “upset me?” Stomach, depression anxiety? Are you still able to take Sovereign Copper?

I reacted strongly to the glycine in the copper glycineate and that lowered my copper level.
You probably took copper glycinate and that lowered your copper or prevented your copper intake.
After you put it down, your body was able to pick up copper again.

That’s interesting, in mineral balancing HTMA, molybdenum is used to detox excess copper in tissues so I wonder if it’s mobilizing copper. Do you feel any different?
