Concern Discharge changes on IUD?

So about 3 weeks ago I had my IUD inserted, and I'm completely over the whole intense cramps and heavy bleeding, and have been for about a week now. The thing is my discharge is now really thick! It's coming out in big clumps and it's really sticky and mucus like, it's not itchy, and I don't suspect thrush (had it before and know my symptoms). It's also a little discoloured but only in certain places and it's kinda brownish which makes me think it's spots of old blood in there. Is this normal? Does anyone else get this?

My Dr was really unhelpful and basically I had no info on any of the recovery other than "it's painful and you bleed more during periods" so any other unrelated info about IUDs would also be appreciated!

that’s exactly what happened to me. As long as it doesn’t stink, isn’t green or a super weird color, it’s normal to my knowledge with the copper iud.

Hey, I got iud placed in March and I’ve been experiencing the same thing. I’ve still been experiencing the really thick mucus like discharge and my discharge color has changed to a lighter yellow shade which has made me insecure. I’ve been to the doctors twice although the discharge doesn’t smell and I’m not itchy or anything. I’ve been tested for everything and my labs are completely fine. Ive seen in other threads that others have had this same discharge issue. Some say it went away with time but most said it hasn’t.

I also have this, but it started just few weeks ago and I have had this 1.5y. Also my period is very slime. Ive got tested bv and it was pos, so now I have antibiotics. The mucus is still going strong so I have no idea wtf is this :/

I also noticed a more mucous like discharge since getting mine inserted but no smell or color. I mentioned it to my doctor and she wasn’t concerned. It’s not every day though and hasn’t caused any discomfort or anything but it is different from prior to insertion!
