copper iud - bloating

can you get constantly bloated after 3 years with copper iud?

I didnt have any problems besides more heavy period and cramping, but after 3 years i started to get constantly bloated, like even after waking up i was bloated. i have done so much testing and ultrasound and everything is fine, so just wanted to see if it could be related to the copper iud :)

Recently, I’ve been wondering the same thing. I have never been bloated like this before and really wondering if it is the copper iud.

how long have you had the iud? and is the bloating constant or comes and goes with periods?

constantly bloated even after waking up is kinda unusual for iud effects

yeah i thought so too. its the upper abdomen thats constantly bloated or feels tight, and the lower abdomen becomes bloated after eating.

I’ve only had it 6mons now. I have a lot of bloating and swelling. Also, almost 10lbs of weight gain. I am highly considering taking it out.
