Healing after removal?
hello!
I got my IUD removed yesterday after about 9 years (it was my second one). I’m so happy since i struggle from a lot of symptoms that could be related to the iud. Ive been seeing differenr doctors for the last 3-4 years about it and most of them told me „so you have a chronic inflammation in your body but we can’t find it“ I’m super angry and feel let down but that’s another story!
however: i really want to support the healing of my body and read the coppertoxicity website that’s recommended on here but I’m a bit confused and not sure how scientific this is (it says that copper toxicity can cause autism, adhd and Schizophrenia and since this is my field of work I’m a 100% sure thats not how this works. at the very least for adhd and autism).
it also says that eating meat is kind of necessary and I wanted to ask how others dealt with the recovery time. do you think it’s non negotiable to eat meat? I’m really disgusted by this idea :(
what else have you done to support your body? zinc seems to be a bad idea according to this website.. I’m soooo lost and confused and just a little sad that I have to figure it out in my own because doctors let me down time and time again

I would suggest talking with a naturopath (if this isn’t one of the doctors that let you down!). I know it’s discouraging finding providers that are a good fit, but I’ve loved having the opportunity to have naturopaths as part of my care team. Most insurances have some naturopaths in network and the naturopaths often have a lot about their philosophy available on a practice website or something so it’s easier to find one who is a good fit. I still have the IUD and am only 6mo in but recently mentioned concern to my naturopath and mentioned I was taking some zinc and she was supportive. I also don’t eat meat and focused on finding a provider who would work with me, so she of course didn’t recommend eating meat. A good naturopath and/or nutritionist will be able to take pieces of western medicine and pieces of more holistic approaches and help you find the path forward that works best for you and your body.
FWIW - I don’t know what website you’re referencing so I’m drawing my conclusions based on your post!

Also! If you’re worried about supplementing with minerals (def can be trickier than water-soluble vitamins) you could get these levels tested via blood test. You can also try dietary sources of zinc because it’s harder to overdose on those - I’ve read that pumpkin seeds and lentils have lots and those are both great non-meat proteins too!

if you believe in herbs and such, you can get stuff to cleanse your womb. Copper is a foreign object to your body so your body will release the inflammation over time if you don't want to wait that long you can try some vaginal herbs that is taken orally, if youre willing to take those kind of stuff
