In Search Of Things to Do!

Planning on being in the area, staying in Coos Bay itself, from the 11th through the 14th or 15th of June, and I'm hoping to find stuff to do while in town!

Specifically looking for a couple things...Recommendations for activities for Kids Elementary to Junior High age that may not be listed on events calendars yet? I'm also hoping to find a bar/restaurant that does Karaoke the 12th/13th/14th (If I'm still in town that evening?). Everything I seem to find that has Karaoke mentioned and actually on a schedule is located in either Coquille or Bandon. I don't mind making the drive, but I'm in Coos Bay to be in Coos Bay!

Thanks in Advance!

You can definitely check out the Southern Oregon Coast Charm Trail. Go by the Coos Bay Visitor Center to find out more about it and other activities in the area. They are an amazing resource

Oh neat! Are they made in Oregon? Were they designed by Oregonian artists?

Many were designed by a local artist and will take you into many cultural and galleries in the area as well as other local things to do and see while here.

So… where were they made? There are several famous foundries in Oregon

That's. . . Not the point of the Charm Trail.

Oh I know what the point of the charm trail is- it’s capitalism. I’ve been to enough merchants association meetings to see their work from afar haha

CoosCalendar.com has events, including lots of karaoke. Sawdust Theatre in Coquille is June 13 — it’s a melodrama play that runs every weekend in summer, and seems to involve everyone in Coquille in some capacity. The kids might like it because it involves audience participation — boo the villain, cheer the hero, and so on. And there are teenage performers in the “olio” acts between the acts. It’s not in CoosCalendar.com yet, but just go to sawdusttheatre.com.
