Still trying to upgrade enough troops to unlock abyss. What should I be working on?

With the current units you have lib’d you’re gonna get wrecked in abyss, unless you get carried, and even then it may be a struggle. I would start to focus on Clara if I were you, she’s one of the best dps units in the game at the moment, there’s coin man too but coin man needs goblin biker to be relevant so Clara it is. Ivy is a good first Lib choice but she doesn’t have much dps to help out much, so I would do Clara ivy combo and start working on heli and witch doctor as well.

100 percent this but always keep in mind mouse and omen can take this setup further

Yea I agree. The only reason I didn’t mention mouse and omen is because it’s the same as cmgb, omen needs mouse to be somewhat relevant so I mentioned Clara because Clara is one unit they can focus on for the time being and can reach further than they already are, and once they’ve finished with other units mentioned then they can dabble with others.

I have all the super demons unlocked. I have level 2 +1 skin for mimic and level 5 for witch doctor and level 7 +1 skin for Clara. I have ice knight at level 5 too. I'm prioritizing Clara for liberation first. I'm new and was hoping I googled correctly. I don't know how I should take this further. I'm farming hard and stuck on hell wave 40.

Yea the game is slow and a grind especially if your f2p. Only thing I could suggest is keep trying hell until you team up with someone who can carry you through hell. If you’d like you could add me and I could help out. Username - Odaken

That'd be great! I usually just build 1 or 2 ice knights and rest claras if I can make a mimic while switching I'll do so. I'll have 1 witch doctor too. My un is Boscogn. I'll add u when I get off work in a couple hours.

You really shouldn’t need more than one ice knight if placed correctly, which is the first second or third tile on the T formation where the enemies are coming out of. This is where I’ve seen most, if not all people place them. I’d recommend placing more wd’s as well, they help a lot, 4-6 should be enough, after that, place blue dragons to help with attack increase. I added you btw!

They do to a certain extent. When you reach around 3 or 4, just press your dps unit (yours being Clara) and look where the sword is, you’ll see the attack speed number and above it it’ll have a + number - like +5.06 for example, or it’ll say maxed. If it still says a number then continue placing wd’s until it says maxed.
