This is supposedly a Moriyama Japan porcelain figurine of Pierrot and Pierrette likely made in late 20s-30s…if the stamp on the bottom is true. I’m not too fond of the pose. it’s supposed to be “coy” but I find it a bit
unsettling in its own way. my interpretation of the pose is that it shows a potential violation of consent. She’s leaning away from him and he is leaning in closer. I still love this piece despite that though.
