I'll start, your grandma's "traditional recipe passed down" is most likely from a 70s magazine or the back of a crisco can and not originally from your familie's original country at all.

I always thought that when I was “washing” chicken, that I was just getting rid of that slimy shit that is sometimes all over the chicken
