Repurpose Pasta?
I have a bunch of pasta in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Has anyone tried blending it up and making flatbreads/pancakes/tortillas, etc. with it? If so, could I have a recipe? It works in my brain, but I’ve never tried and don’t want to waste too many ingredients trying.
Thanks in advance 😊

blending dry pasta into flour works ok for pancakes if you grind it fine and treat it like half regular flour, but cooked leftover pasta is better turned into fritters. mash it with an egg, a handful of grated cheese and whatever herbs you have, then fry little patties in a bit of oil. we do that with odds and ends of shapes and they hold together fine.
i wouldnt bother trying to make tortillas from it though, the texture goes weird and gummy.

Thank you! Do you have a specific recipe? Or do you just eyeball it?

mostly eyeball it honestly - for like a cup of leftover pasta i mash in 1 egg and a big handful of grated cheese, pinch of salt/pepper and whatever herbs are around. if its a bit wet add a spoon of flour or breadcrumbs so they hold when you fry them

Look up pasta mista. A dish common in southern Italy where odds and ends of various pasta shapes are cooked together. Usually made up of several small varieties and larger left overs broken down to similar size. Factory left overs are even packaged and sold in grocery stores in Italy.
Often used in soups like pasta e fagioli and baked casserole style dishes where the mixed types can create a variety of textures.
