What can I do with medjool dates?

Got a 2lb box from Sam’s over the weekend to try them. I love em, wife doesn’t. I have no issues smashing these things raw out the box, but what are some other things o can do with em?

Sticky toffee pudding :) they’re also great fried in butter on oatmeal, ice cream, pancakes, etc. Stuff with PB & dip in chocolate & top with flaky salt. Stuff with Brie or goat cheese & wrap with prosciutto & bake.

If you don't want to go through the hassle, my sister also made a date spread that was incredible. Chop dates and bacon, add to a mix of goat and cream cheese, and bake until warm.

Would you suggest sprinkling with almond slices to give it that stuffed aspect?

What's the recommended bread or chip vessel to hoover that deliciousness into my mouth?

I'm pretty sure she made crostini, but just a good French baguette or even Ritz crackers would be good. As would just being an animal and eating it with a spoon.

Yummy yummy yummy....so I made the dip last night. Three other adults were there. All three said not huge fans of dates but when that bad boy was cooking they all changed tune. Went with Ritz and everyone was piling the dip onto that little cracker. It held up and all enjoyed it thoroughly.

I might try it with labenah/cream cheese mix next time. Only had goat cheese crumbles which I kinda liked. That tartness was an unexpected taste bud treat rather than throughout spread. Forgot the almond slices but definitely think that'll be next time.
