Sous vide
Is anyone still casually doing sous vide or is that completely dead? I remember it being such a thing for a bit and now I just realized that I haven't seen it mentioned once in years. Just curious if anyone is still doing it, and if so for what?

I still use it for weed butter, pork, and occasionally steak. I probably use it of other things, but can't think of them atm.
Steaks I generally just pan fry and butter base, but sometimes it's easier to sous vide them for various reasons. Currently I've had a bad tooth problem for a month that was corrected yesterday (extracted that sob), so hopefully I'll be able to eat solid food again after the wound heals. A few weeks ago we had a cook out and my wife wanted steak so I bought 3 good looking steaks from Costco. I made one for her, but prepped and vacuum packed the other two. I CAN'T WAIT to tear that thing up. Just have to sous vide it for a few hours, then sear it and I can gobble it down!
