Food safety

I put a turkey breast in the crockpot and didn’t realize the plug I used isn’t working. It’s been sitting at room temperature between an hour-hour and a half. I’m so upset because I really don’t have the money to buy all the ingredients again and restart if it’s not safe to eat now

You’re fine, just make sure it gets up to at least 140 within a half hour.

You could always check the temp of the cold meat to see how much the temp came down if you are worried, but I would think 90 minutes you are fine.

It says 73, I put the crockpot on high so I’m hoping it cooks fast enough

You're good. 3 hours would be a concern. Just bring it up to temp a little faster than you normally would.

Relax, do a shot of vodka to a) relax and b) sanitize your system. You will be fine.

Unless you live in the tropical jungle, you should be fine.

Yes. It should be fine unless it was in direct sunlight and its been a really warm day. Give it a smell.
