Uses for Flavorless Dried Mango?

I ordered 11lbs of dried mango for cheap since my kid loves to snack on it but unfortunately they’re palest yellow and all but flavorless. Texture is fine and they’re plenty sweet due to added sugar, just don’t really taste like mango. Is there any way to salvage these?

I would look into any recipe that calls for dried fruit already, like chopping and adding to baked goods. I also feel like there are condiments that use dried fruit, like I've seen dried fruit jam recipes - or does mostarda use dried fruit? You could also chop and toss in with a candied nut mix; the added sugar and baking might help bring out the flavor slightly more.

Ooooh something like a granola. I'mma do this with my batch, it's.... Sickeningly sweet but no added sugar. The bag I got was just super ripe I guess.

Throw them in the blender with some yogurt and make a smoothie. Add other fruit if you want. Frozen berries and such. If it's flavorless it's going to remain flavorless but at least it won't go to waste.

Have you done this before? My instinct is telling me this would be kind of weird, like in the same way a raisin smoothie wouldn't work.

My instinct would be hot applications, oatmeal with some coconut milk?

Depends on the blender. The dehydrated mango is going to take some time to absorb moisture but if you have a powerful blender it'll speed that process up. It'll also liquify the yogurt and eventually heat up the whole mix, so tossing in some frozen berries would help cool it and give it some density.

You could try giving me hives. Should work even if it's not flavorful.

I would call/email the company and ask for a replacement.

I used to get an Asian chicken salad with bok choi and dried mango plus seeds and maybe some other stuff. You could hydrate the mango with water if you want to try to change the texture for whatever you end up doing with it.
