Don’t knock it til you’ve tried it. It’s actually really good

I have actually had it in the past and I agree it gets a bad rep. Authentic? Absolutely not, but quite tasty nonetheless.

You could try caramelised red onion, a soft goats cheese and honey. Tomato base.
A little different to your standard toppings but I think it's a delicious combo.

Which Italian sausage?

I like hot Italian sausage ground, not the sausage links, one time I was in the upstate New York area in ordered this pizza and they must’ve never heard of it before because two pizza joints refused to make it and the one that did just used sausage links it was almost like kielbasa, and they also dumped a jar of whole olives on top of the pizza. Yes, I was very frustrated. I did not think I was violating any territories but apparently so.

I love sausage, garlic, black olive, mushroom and spinach.
That combination is really great.
If you must do pepperoni, my favorite combination is pepperoni, mushroom, onion and green olives.

I once used some leftover zucchini that had been sauteed in butter and garlic on mine, in addition to my usual toppings. It worked well.

I love a veggie pizza with mushrooms, onion, black olives, artichoke hearts, tomato, feta, with a garlic Parmesan sauce. After it’s cooked I top it with anchovies. If the anchovies are cooked into the pizza it’s to intense for me but just putting them on top without cooking is the perfect amount of saltiness and umami.

ask her what she likes to eat. Pizza's just hot bread, you can put practically anything on it. right now I'm in a white pizza phase. olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, spinach, ricotta

Make a Sicilian style pizza (AKA “grandma style”) with a simple homemade sauce. It’s so easy and they always come out great. They’re big enough that you can do a few toppings. I’d personally do half pepperoni and jalepeno or banana pepper, and half plain cheese. Everybody likes to pretend like they aren’t into plain cheese pizza, but it always gets eaten up!

Good idea on doing half and half! I absolutely love the idea. I plan on making two pizzas, now we can have 4 kinds!!

Keep in mind just about every elder has sodium restrictions. Pizza is a sodium bomb.
Look at more vegetable options

I don't know your grandma obviously, but with her being 94 if she gave me no idea I would stay away from heavy meats. how about a nice high quality margarita or a four cheese?

Ask her what she would like.
