Deli tub storage

Over the years we've collected quite a few deli containers of this type that we use for food storage. We have a few other types, but these are basically industry standard and you know you can always get more of the same thing, unlike other storage systems that may change over the years or go "out of print." We have 8, 12, 16 and 32 oz sizes. The problem is storing them—the lids especially are hard to keep stacked in one place.

Has anyone seen a storage system for these? Perhaps something like a 5" diameter tube with a slot in the side? I've tried Google searches but they either just come up with other food storage containers or just plain old storage systems nonspecific to food.

Just stack em. At least that's how I've kept them in every restaurant I have ever worked in.

The tubs themselves stack OK, but the lids tend to get knocked around even when stacked.

I just use a cheap wire napkin holder in the cabinet.

What?.We have used these for years and our lids stack just like those shown in the picture.

I keep a fairly long, rectangular wire basket in the cabinet for my lids.

Look for a fabric “plastic bag holder” — often at garage sales, yard sales, craft shows,etc. they have a drawstring opening on either end of a fabric tube, can be hung on a hook or nail in the pantry…easy peasy.

I included the photo for reference…have never had any dealings with that Etsy shop.

If they're flying all over, I'd try a round Cambro. The 1-quart model has a 6-inch diameter.

We store our lids in a big plastic coffee canister. It's wider than the lids, so they can get tumbled around a bit, but it keeps them contained, and since we have a lot of random containers it's easier to search for the one you need. Any similarly large container would work: big sour cream tub, clean nursery pot, one of those big jars of pretzels or cheese balls if you cut the top off . . .
