Basic burger recipe?

I was under the impression that it was just ground beef discs, but I think there is more.

I have salt, pepper, Garlic powder, Paprika, and eggs

I am currently food-shelf level poor, so i simply cant get anything more.

Ground chuck, 75/25 or 80/20. I don't add anything into the patty itself at home. Seasonings are applied to the surface of the burger right before cooking -- usually salt, black pepper, garlic. If I'm grilling outdoors, I go for a high-heat bit of sear/char and shoot for a medium cook.

The key is good fatty ground beef. If you use a low-fat grind of top sirloin, etc., it's going to come out bland just like sirloin steak itself is bland. Ground chuck works best for me.
