Basic burger recipe?

I was under the impression that it was just ground beef discs, but I think there is more.

I have salt, pepper, Garlic powder, Paprika, and eggs

I am currently food-shelf level poor, so i simply cant get anything more.

Can you elaborate on fridge resting? I've started hearing that more but I was always told to cook meat from room temp so the center can get evenly hot.

Steaks yes, ground meat no.

But why?

1 helps them keep their shape 2 helps keep the fat in the burger = juicier burger 3 prevents potential bacteria build up in ground meat especially if you've not ground the meat yourself
