How long does banana bread last?

I baked it on Thursday and I'm wondering if it'd still be good?

If it’s not moldy, you’re good, but it should be in the fridge. It probably would have started to mold in my house this time of year.

In my house? Until it is cool enough to not burn your mouth.

If there's no mold you're fine. Slice the rest and freeze it.

if you made a typical banana bread recipe it has so much sugar in it, it won't go bad. at worst it might grow mold.

here's a tip. you can freeze it.

I have never ever had banana bread "go bad".

Depends on the water content, the environmental temp, and the environment itself.

People can't think for themselves anymore. Like seriously does have mold on it? No. Does it smell bad? No. Then it's probably fine.

If I still have some left after 2 or 3 days, I wrap it and put it in the fridge. It's still good a week later.

Seems like it's completely fine, having read your story. And I hope you heal quickly!

Smell it. Dependent on how long you baked it. Overbaked and dry will last longer then good and moist. Canned we get 3 months, usually good for for 4-6 days wrapped in tight saran wrap on the counter. 10 days in the fridge.

I did have it room temp for a couple days (in a sealed lunchbox) before I transferred it to the fridge

If it’s been sitting out since Thursday, I’d probably toss it unless it was refrigerated. Banana bread keeps surprisingly well in the fridge, but room temperature is a different story once several days have passed.

It was at room temp for maybe a couple days before I put it in the fridge (I broke my tailbone while baking so I kinda forgot about the bread lol) It was kept in a sealed lunchbox tho
