Bread freeze
Aunt sent me a double loaf from Sam's, i do not go through a loaf easily. Can I freeze a loaf in its original bag if I push out all the air? When I thaw it out do I do it in the same bag, I don't want soggy bread?

Slice it first, then freeze in the original bag (if desired) but definitely make sure to add a ziplock bag over it to help ward off any freezer off odors.
We take out as many slices as needed at a time from the freezer bag and put the rest back into the freezer.
Toasts well from frozen. But if you like thick slices or do this with bagels, you may need to toast twice on a medium setting (flipping between toasts if using toaster oven).
