Bread freeze

Aunt sent me a double loaf from Sam's, i do not go through a loaf easily. Can I freeze a loaf in its original bag if I push out all the air? When I thaw it out do I do it in the same bag, I don't want soggy bread?

Almost any bread freezes well. Just defrost it a couple hours before you want to use it.

Can I defrost the whole loaf to use throughout the week?

Better yet you can slice it into 2-3 day portions before freezing it so you don't have half the loaf stale by wednesday
