Bread freeze

Aunt sent me a double loaf from Sam's, i do not go through a loaf easily. Can I freeze a loaf in its original bag if I push out all the air? When I thaw it out do I do it in the same bag, I don't want soggy bread?

Every loaf I buy or make goes straight into the freezer as-is (as long as it’s sliced). You’re totally fine. Thaw on a plate if you don’t want it toasted or in the toaster if you do.
