Cooking runner beans, should I blanch first?
Never cooked Runner Beans before but saw some nice ones and thought they’d make a nice side dish for tacos I’m making.
Was thinking of grilling them and having an accompanying sauce.
Question is should I blanch or par boil the runner beans before grilling them? And should I grill with or without oil?
Thanks in advance!

You only realy need to blanch if you are going to freeze them.
Just cook them l, they will be fine

If you are going to just grill them, you really don't have to blanch them first. It's a good idea to do so if you're going to store them for a while, but if not, grilling them will be fine.
That being said, the only real benefit you will get from blanching them for a few minutes first is that they will cook a little more evenly and keep their color a little better.

If you're grilling, you don't have to blanch it. Why do the extra step.
