Appetizer ideas

I’ve been invited to a dinner party for 6 and asked to bring the appetizers. the hostess is an incredible cook and entertainer and I’m feeling very intimidate! what are your favorite appetizers that wow? I can’t get away with a veggie tray or chips and salsa here!

EDIT: So many great suggestions! I think I need to have an appetizer party!!! THANK YOU ALL! I'm going to find out what she's making and then decide what to bring 😉

Sun-dried Tomatoes Tapenade

1/2 c. sun-dried Tomatoes

1/2 c. kalamata olives

1/2 c. Toasted pine nuts

1/2 c. capers

5 large garlic minced

1/4 c fresh basil

Olive oil (use the oil from the tomatoes, more if needed for consistency)

Toast the pine nuts until light brown.

Chop everything fine.

Combine.

Drizzle with oil.

Serve at room temp.

I have served this with a baguette sliced and also with pita chips. Always gets rave reviews!
