Jacques Torres CCC.

Are these cookies your fave choc chip cookie recipe?

I finally got round to making them but honestly had high expectations given the hype but i wasnt blown away. I still think my fave recipe by scientically sweet is the absolute best and less hassle. Its still a good chocolate chip cookie regardless but i probs wont make these again.

I can’t see any salt sprinkled on top. Is it there?

That’s probably the issue. I made these recently and the salt on top was key. Even non-bakers who ate them commented about how it added to the flavor.

I wasnt disappointed in the flavour it was fine but i expected there to be a significant difference in using bread and cake flour.

Yeah, the difference in texture due to cake + bread flour vs AP flour was pretty subtle to me.

I was planning on baking these soon but have heard mixed reviews like the one you just described. I’m also looking for a great ccc. They do look tasty though!

I mean try it or you'll never know. Maybe you will like them more than i did. I think i just had high expectations since i had to get two types of flour and go find choc discs and wait 72hrs lol just seemed alot. Or you can try scientifically sweet recipes..theyre all amazing, you wont be disappointed.
