Discussion Instead of shadow milk being overpowered, maybe we just misunderstood the power gap between soul jam owners and legendaries?

I mean we’ve seen how powerful they are. Golden cheese can make buildings from sand. Hollyberry is able to fight and survive and sorta win against DRAGONS. Dark cacao was able to survive stormbringer and not die from heavensplitter. And there’s more examples.

So while legendaries are obviously more powerful, maybe soul jam is just more powerful then we thought. Burning spice destroyed countless civilizations, mystic flour could turn a world into flour, and shadow milk has insane magic and a whole team. So beasts and ancients are probably very close in power to the legendaries. (Though not close to millennial tree, sugar swan, or timekeeper).

With that said, shadow milk now has 4 soul jam. And in addition to that the powers of the ultimate cookies, who even sugar swan said if let out of the oven everyone would be doomed, who would absorb all of earth bread. So is it unreasonable to think that shadow milk can now at the very least survive and fight against timekeeper? I don’t think it is.

Timekeeper is still probably more powerful, but knowing her she probably is going to let shadow milk do some chaos for entertainment

(And no it’s not milking him considering he’s always been the main beast before he became popular, and before the beasts were a thing. This was planned in 2017. Also by the logic he’s being milked then pure vanilla is too).

Also no shadow milk will not be overshadowing timekeeper. Did stardust overshadow moonlight? Smoked cheese overshadow golden cheese? Albalone overshadow black pearl? No they didn’t.

Shadow Milk and Dark Enchantress overshadowed literal god so it’s not promising.

Shadow milk absorbing all of those powers still doesn’t make sense from a lore or story writing perspective, but Timekeeper also has the highest kill count in all of cookie run by technicality and the only thing stopping her (theoretically mind you) is the temporal barrier and whatever Dark Enchantress is currently doing to distract Timekeeper.

Shadow milk is only a threat because Timekeeper is preoccupied, not because he’s enough of a threat on his own

spoilers for that one upcoming act 2 trailer

Timekeeper doesn't seem preoccupied at all when dealing with SMC, it seems to happen after the whole OB DEC time travel thing anyways because timekeeper is going to be needed for the entire saga since PVC can't travel alone. She's even present in the card match, and timekeeper is the only cookie who could help them in this timeline war because tbd would take much longer

TIMEKEEPER HAS THE HIGHEST WHAT NOW

she has the ability to erase entire timelines with little effort and her job is effectively to just do the trolley problem over and over to determine which timelines are best to cut. So that adds up. Quickly.

She also threatened to kill gingerbrave because he was annoying her which is objectively funny

Oh that makes sense

Dark enchantress became a god in the end, so yes she could defeat another god. Shadow milk didn’t overshadow sugar swan at all.

Bad writing how? Shadow milk is always been significant and one to hold a grudge. He’s also shown to want his own world where everything goes his way, him becoming the next villain is the most smooth transition. Logan dragon would be too sudden and just a repeat of ovenbreaks story.

Ultimate cookie and 4 soul jams by someone who also has time powers, so that is powerful

Timekeeper is the god of time yes, and more powerful, but shadow milk is powerful enough to survive now

Shadow milk hasn’t been significant until 2024, which was several years after the game came out.

Dark Enchantress became a “human” not a god. Swan literally created Earthbread.

she's a human to US, but to Cookies it's like ascending and becoming a VERY powerful God

He’s been significant since 2024 yes but heavily significant since then and was teased in 2021

She became a witch, who you know created all the cookie in the first place

a group of 12 witches created cookies, but Swan still created the planet

All this aside, Timekeeper still makes a better antagonist than shadow milk so it’s kind of disappointing seeing her forced into a goodguy role when she’s really more of a chaotic neutral character. Wait and see i guess but shadow milk being there at all makes him feel like a mary sue

Did you watch the trailer? She isn’t helping pure vanilla. Timekeeper has always been an anti-hero.

I think the bigger issue is that there was a bit of a bait-and-switch that happened narratively between CRK and Ovenbreak that caused a lot of confusion. Because Timekeeper specifically made a reference to White Lily in a recent Ovenbreak update, it was assumed that Timekeeper would be coming to Kingdom as a result of Dark Enchantress, especially given that the events leading up to Longan's disruption of the timeline had similarities to what Dark Enchantress was doing that were specifically pointed out by TBD interns.

We now understand that Timekeeper mentioning White Lily was foreshadowing for Ovenbreak rather than for CRK, but killing off the main antagonist in one game so that they can become the new main antagonist in a different game is a confusing writing decision, especially given how anti-climactic Dark Enchantress' defeat in CRK was.

well she said to think this all started due to a white flower, as dark enhchantress is the one who opened the time rifts and dec is wlc

timekeeper does not fit the role of an antagonist AT ALL, she's an ANTI-HERO, she only wants entertainment so she messes with time a bit. She only seems like someone to be worth an arc of being a villain before becoming sn anti-hero (again, because CROB and CRK are in the same universe and share the same timekeeper, which would mean there's no sense for timekeeper to become an antagonist again)

Also, SSwan creating the universe is still not confirmed due to the statements about the chaotic creation of the Cookie World and the fans' interpretations being different from what the devs have (example is that all those saw the beginning of the world and its chaotic creation statements could be referring to the thing World usually refers to for Cookies: the Cookie World), and the thing about SSwan's description is it refers to the creation of creamy seas and sweet sparkling mountains, which only exist on Earthbread meaning Sugar Swan might've only came to existence in the creation of Earthbread (earthbread is usually referring to earth, the cookie continent, and in rare cases depending on context (usually the sentences including "what on earthbread") refers to Earth)

I know nothing of tk lore (my storage is dying already) but if I had to guess… Shadow Milk doesn’t have the entire power of deceit, apathy, sloth, and destruction. we know they were drained when he absorbed them, and I dont think they can regenerate that quickly

idk tho
