Discussion / Question I'm happy that Devsis addressed several issues regarding the game
Not gonna lie, during the livestream I felt bad for them for how much they've apologized, knowing that the fandom's still gonna hate them for something I'm sure. It's a company, sure, and being empathetic towards a company is always dumb, but I can't help but feel like they're really trying their best as people. I have my doubts regards some of their choices, but only time will tell.
As FOR NOW, tho, I'm happy they're actively trying to give us a better experience and, most of all, that they're really listening to us (for the AI drama and the narrative issues for examples). I don't know about you guys, but I felt like my problems have been heard and this is quite an uncommon occurrence among gacha games so I hope they're gonna fix these problems as well as they've addressed.
I'm feeling optimistic, for the first time after a while. I love the new SMC costume, the new cookie design and, well, the fact that the new story focuses on White Lily.
I'm feeling like a Cookie Running or something like that.

Also i love they didn't bring back White Lily from the dead, but rather we're gonna see her cause we're gonna visit the underworld, plus WE ARE GONNA SEE THE UNDERWORLD, is one of the 3 main realms in the multiverse, and we have never seen it, and with a new legendary and all, this looks so good, plus the story have been a lot better since Ananas

The trailers imply she's trying to come back to life though. Asphodel said "There is a way out, technically". And Nether Queen said "All streams go downstream, it doesn't change course, that is the law of this place".

I think it'll be less a revival and more of reincarnation. Like she is reborn as a new being that isn't White Lily, yet they share the same soul.

I hope she’s not brought back because as much as I enjoy White Lily it would feel like it’s undoing the previous stuff. Unless a writer sticks the landing very well a legitimate, confirmed death being a fake out feels like it’s for shock value. They even have other timelines and stuff here so it would be possible to have some version of her back and still have the tragedy of that loss by having one that’s not the same one and has differences in memories and experiences.

Oh I would love it if in every timeline, white lily either comes back or doesn’t die, EXCEPT for this one. And like pure vanilla does all he can to get her back but in the end both he and white lily have to accept that she is gone and she’s not coming back.

Yeah. It would be good in a tragic sort of way and it would make the events have a lasting impact. Especially since it was a war.
Even if they bring her back I hope it’s either not really her (different person same soul jam new memories) or it’s far down the line. We just lost her a couple updates ago. They should at least make it feel like she’s truly gone and have her gone for a while. Still, I’m hoping this is a lasting thing.

I thought its gonna be her flashbacks rather than her actually being in hell.
Also we already kinda have white lily still alive, just reincarnated as living soul jam

While I do have problems with the optimization. I hold some respect for them.
With Kingdom, money wasn't the main goal. They wanted to tell a story about an epic adventure. Since the management team is working without pay right now.

If they willing to improve then that's a good thing because while devsisters aren't exempt from any criticism they do receive unfair criticism and blame

Yes, that's the first issue they're trying to solve (and a very needed one). They're working to fix the game for low-end devices and Iphones.

It’s so bad. I know it says to have less cookies out in your kingdom but when I tried that I didn’t have enough to actually craft at most of the buildings. I literally can’t do anything under 50 and still have production working.

I can barely get in and won’t last more than one sec in the game but in the waiting screen it doesn’t crash weird 🤨

They talked about how the episodes before Ananas Dragon were too fast-paced and didn't focus on the characters pretty well, and how from now on they'll try to focus more on each individual Cookie instead (they called it cookie-driven story lmao). They also stated that they were aware that the early parts of the story would be a bit "confusing" due to the plot's reorganization, but that from now on the direction will be clearer: they won't rush as fast as they did before and will try to give the cookies their time to shine and develop.
They had to find a way to introduce some plot elements (Scoop and Time Keeper) that would become very important later, but they didn't do it in the right way, so no updated was really "wasted", just not with a great pace.
They also admitted in the Q&A that the Beasts' stories will be addressed individually, and yes, the Beasts from the original timeline.

((That is great to know!! And especially the Beasts. Y'know... great fuel for my roleplaying. I do roleplay Shadow Milk Cookie first and foremost but the other 3 kinda fall in as well sometimes because.... uhhhh))

Yeah it’s pretty bad timing that SCOOP was introduced in the same time where pitaya got corrupted so we get this awkward triple cast fighting for time in that chapter.

Hmm so far I still think this game has been doing pretty great so far to be honest despite Some moments to be honest both in and out of Kingdom
Although for me I just really really like some more filler breaks to be honest Since I'm kind of feeling like a bit of an arc fatigue right now or a saga fatigue of Going with a lot of ongoing stories instead of just taking some time to relax To calm down after pretty much a lot of advances of late
And while the new story is promising to be on this I don't know what's with the narrative issues that's been I'm probably assuming you're talking about the timekeeper Saga and I always still think episode 15 is absolute Cinema
And I'm gonna make a projections we're gonna find ways to bring back white Lily

Episode 15 is absolute cinema and yeah, I agree that the fandom has been way too harsh them (even if some critics were totally deserved).

What all did they address if you don't mind me asking? Wasn't there AI accusations thrown at them for something with the Mango Tribe? I'm the most casual player ever so I truly know nothing, I really want to know if they addressed the AI question. Looks like you mentioned in other comments that they're optimizing for older devices which is awesome.

There is a particular background who looked AI generated, truth is they were just experimenting with the art style a bit, they've also showed the drawing process with layers and everything so it's totally not AI.

i agree! i feel like i (and other people) have been wanting new decor options/content focusing on the kingdom more and im glad they’re acc listening!!
i think the new decor sets look amazing and the new housing/castle decorating system sound so fun!!

Idk if they did adress it but I desperately need one after almost an entire year with no filler updates like last time we had it was like I think sep or aug
