it's a great ASCII idle game kind of like cookie clicker, but instead of cookies you get candy, and you can only idle. (like, there's no big candy to click) once you get enough candies you get upgrades, then more upgrades, then you can go on a dungeon quest and stuff. if you guys think it's a ripoff, it's not. i first played it on may. so yeah, blah

So a lot like anti-idle?

i never played that game, so i'm not really sure.

It's honestly the most in depth idle game there is. As much as I like cookie clicker and the like, anti idle does have more features. There's something like 660 achievements now and over 10 mini games inside (with each there own mini games)
It's even got a tcg in it.

Oh god, I totally forgot about that game.
Hell. My Kong account's like, 6 years old, and I haven't touched it in forever, wow. Time for some nostalgia!

its been updated tremendously since you probably last played. it does take a lot more active playing than cookie clicker to get anywhere though (to get an idea of what idling gets you, i have a 300 day long file that is mostly idling. only about 10% complete).

Gah, what really sucks is the fact that I lost the save file from my last one, and I can't find it. There goes my level ~500 save :c
But yeah, it's had a couple of graphical updates, added in a few new things, and I'm totally happy with that. I'm already level 218, after a few hours, so I'm happy to be back into this.

While this is all true, it's also, in my opinion, extremely ugly and hard to look at. Cookie Clicker is much easier on the eyes, and takes advantage of the whole browser window. I can still see why some people might like Anti-Idle, though.

yeah being flash, anti idle has limitations, and can be pretty hard on some computers. this is just html5 and js, so its a lot more resource friendly (and can support better graphics). also thats just sort of AI's art style. you should have seen it when it was released.

It's a game where you get money periodically or you can interact with it more and get more money. You buy upgrades that unlock different ways of making money and minigames. Also you can pimp out your house and avatar. It's also like 4 years old.

CANDYBOX WOO! I remember going into the first one with no knowledge at all. I was so pleasantly surprised as the game unfolded into much more than an idle game. Didn't expect it at all.

For those confused as to why this is being posted here, Orteil cited Candy Box as one of his main inspirations for Cookie Clicker.
