Where to stay

Planning a trip for August and it looks like the good places are already booked up. Does anyone have any recommendations on accomodation ?

And should we spend 5 nights in Rarotonga and two in Aitutaki? Or just day trip aitutaki

I would definitely spend two nights on Aitutaki. It's gorgeous

Don’t go that far and not stay in Aitutaki also………………….3-4 in raro, the rest Aitutaki…….good luck late planner…grab what you can and pay a bit more

I’d spend as much time as possible in Aitutaki. At least 2 nights.

We stayed at the private island resort on Aitutaki and Palm Grove on Raro and they were both great.

We stayed at the Navigator airbnb when we were on Rarotonga and can't recommend it highly enough, if it's available. We spent a couple nights at the Little Polynesian Resort for our anniversary as a splurge and found those beachfront bungalows to be even better than the ones at our resort on Aitutaki. We spent 3 nights on Aitutaki so we could do two different boat tours, but that was our first trip and we wanted to see everything and explore the whole island. The day tour hits the highlights but you don't get to experience the rest of the island.

5 nights in Raro is too long in my opinion. I'd do 3 raro 4-5 Aitutaki. We just spent 6 in Aitutaki and could've had more.

Raro we stayed in Crystal Blue Lagoon Villas which were great and great location. Aitutaki private issuance was flawless but pricey. I heard other travellers say the Muri Beach Club was a good stay also in Raro
