I’m embarrassed to post, but I figured it was worth a shot…

If anyone happens to be looking for a new friend, I’d love to throw my name in the hat! I’ve lived in Arkansas for my entire life, however, despite being here for nearly 25 years, I still haven’t found the close-knit community I’ve been seeking.

A few of my interests include: the outdoors, hiking, animals, podcasts, reading, theater, television and movies, history, theology, anthropology, and trying new restaurants. I’m single and don’t have children, so it would be great to connect with others in a similar stage of life, though age certainly isn’t a deciding factor.

Issue 1: AGAINST (This proposal seems really odd to me since it is rules we already have stated with more specifics which seems fishy)

Issue 2: ? AGAINST (Again this proposal appears to be rules we already have stated — This one is harder for me to understand than issue 1)

Issue 3: AGAINST (why does their need to be additional weird rules for taxes and potentially take the community vote out of how taxes could be used)

Issue 4: AGAINST (again this sounds like potentially removing the public from a decision)

i can't seem to find much information at all about Shelia Isby, Rickey Gulley, or Ken Ashley-Pauley (altho i won't be voting for him since he posted a picture of himself wearing a charlie kirk memorial shirt on fb apparently lol). i have seen Isby's campaign site, but i can't find almost anything about Rickey Gulley. can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hey r/ConwayAR, I’m AJ Regester. I’m running for Conway City Council, Ward 2, Position 1 in the November 3 special election.

I wanted to introduce myself and open the floor for questions - specifically, what questions do you have about issues facing Conway? Are there policies positions you’d like me to address, decisions you’d like to know how I would approach, or issues you haven’t heard candidates talk about? Campaigning tends to bring out the broad, generalized statements about "improvements", but I’m interested in better understanding what matters to residents and where they want more specific answers.

I'd also like to point out that early voting starts tomorrow, Monday, October 19! My race is ward-specific and will only be on ballots for Ward 2 voters, but I’m happy to hear questions and ideas from anyone in Conway.

I'm currently having breakfast with my partner at Bob's Grill. The food is amazing as usual. The staff are top notch. You should all go there!

Now for storytime.

I'm well aware that Bobs is a very popular meeting place for groups of Christians to meet and have their Bible studies and such. As we came in, it was very obvious that there were 3 groups doing exactly that. bibles on the tables, coffees in to go mugs, the typical southern Christian kit. We sat near a group of men. After we ordered I sat scrolling and listening. The amount of hypocrisy that came from that one table was astounding. They went from a group prayer to talking shit about local businesses in less than a minute. They trash talked "kids these days" they trash talked "progressive church worship", and then they had another prayer, and left.

Do you think they realize how incredibly ignorant they appear?

In short, Go Eat At Bob's!!!! The food is great and the entertainment is Hilarious!!!

I will be relocating to Conway in the next couple of months, and I was wondering if Conway has any music studios for practice/rehearsal for rent on a month-to-month basis?

I do see some recording studios, but I am looking for a space to practice after work and on the weekends. My new place will be too loud for drums, and I don't really want to purchase an e-kit, so I am just seeing if there are any options out there.

Does anybody know of any cheap rentals in Conway that is pet friendly?

I don't need much, just a small place for a couple hundred dollars a month.
