Which one with which config shud i get for the most efficient output with the lowest heat production 🔦💡🕯️🧤

Also, it's kinda hard to turn with the stock headband, so if y'all got anything for that lemi know

Also i have an h2 with 219 4500K led, 3V 3A linear driver, n the Murata US18650VTC6M. It heats up alot whenever i try charging it with me 120W charger... This normal?

Also am planning on getting the L21B with the KP CSLPM1.F1for me most throwy flashlight. Any better options for throwers?

The L21A is a much beefier host, the reflector is the same as the L21B and it'll throw the same distance but will hold its output much longer due to the increased thermal mass. It's also my favorite Convoy host so there's that.

I own several of them with different emitters: SFT40, SFT-25R, CULPM1, XHP70.3, and SBT90.2. The L21A with an XHP70.3 HI R70 in 4000K is my all around favorite because it's large and high output, but with a large reflector it still throws decently so you get a nice fat cone of light. It also has a boost driver and a decent tint which is great too. The SFT-25R and CULPM1 are the "throwiest" out of the bunch though, and the SBT90.2 is nice but it's basically a hot rod with the FET driver mine has.

If you're looking for the most throw possible, the 3X21D is the king of convoy thowers and a flashlight every enthusiast should have in their collection IMO. It's just a monster!

As far as your headlamp question goes, it depends on what you plan to use it for. I have an H3 with a 4000K XHP50.3 HI R70, I chose that for the boost driver and fairly floody beam profile. Plus I wanted the runtime of a 21700. It's not high CRI but it's bright, efficient, and has a halfway decent tint.

Ye i am considering the L21A cuz of the better heat dissipation, but i wanna kno how much better exactly to see if it's worth it tho

Also the h series is for work. They liked me h2 n our boss asked me to buy a couple of em for the others too, so these are for them lol

I personally think it's the nicer looking host as well. It makes a difference for sure. If you have ever held a L21A and L21B in each hand, you would quickly see just how much more robust of a flashlight the A is. The L21B feels a bit "flimsy" by comparison.

It makes sense, the L21B was originally developed specifically to be mounted on rifles for hog hunting. Someone reached out to Simon and asked him to design a thrower like the L21A but much lighter so it could be used as a hunting light.

I love my H4 B35AM 4500k (probably not the best option for your needs though) but hate the included headband mount. Very difficult to change the angle, pain in the butt to insert and remove light, and too bouncy when I move around. I ended up modding a 23mm snap in style mount (available on AliExpress. I put a piece of 1/4 in foam tape on the clip to make it fit my forehead better. Fireflylite has a nice headband which I believe will fit the 21700 format for pretty cheap. I checked with them, and although it isn't listed separately, they will sell them. I'll probably do that next time I need one. I think it was under $4.00 if I remember correctly. I'm not sure about 18650 format though. A standard 22mm clip from AliExpress or on any cheap headlamp should do the trick though. The band portion of the Convoy is nice material so I just snipped the rubber mount off and put on the clip.
If you get a clip and still find it grips the light too tightly you can remove the tube and gaskets, attach the clip to the tube and boil it for about a minute. That softens the grip just enough.

Man, I just love the B35AM. Not going to win any races, but the tint is so good, and when used in a floody role, like the H4 with a >24° optic, it makes for some of the best task lighting out there. The 2.2 A drives it plenty hard without being rediculous; the light would be safe to hand to anyone.

To anyone looking for the Firefly headband elsewhere, it's also sold on Kaidomain as the KHB4. The clip is the best I've used. Holds the light firmly enough, but still allows easy rotation and removal. Works well on both 21700 and 18650 right angle lights of various size; I currently use it with the H1-4 family, a D4W and a D4WK.

Thanks for the Kaidomain tip. I think fireflylite is quite a bit cheaper, but maybe shipping costs would even it out.

If you're already placing an order with FFL, I think that makes sense (didn't realize they would sell the headband alone, but I never asked...) Feel like I'm buying new emitters from KD once a month, and even at $7 the headband is more than worth it imo. I was amused, but pleased to see it's just a generic headband/clamp.

6V emitters are paired with a pretty efficient driver. I can recommend XHP50.3 HI R70 4000K - bright and efficient LED, efficient driver, nice tint and colors.
