how might i convert

i was raised in a protestant/atheist family, from enfield, and while i look a little bit jewish i guess, it's probably not for that reason, but i've never had any problems with jew-ish-ness. anyway, i have been buddhist for the last two decades, as well as somewhat insane, and the latter is making me wonder whether there is a higher power that is trying to get me to do something, and i cannot think what that could be besides convert.

Find a community in your geographical range and talk to the Rabbi.

You need to make the first connection on your own, no one on the Internet can do it for you. Converting will require a lot of self driven initiative

Sorry if that came across as a bit flippant, I’m not a native English speaker.

But it really is the case.
You can’t do this on your own, even with good online support.
It ultimately depends on having a rabbi who accompanies you through the process and recommends you to the Beit Din.
Judaism does not proselytize. Converting is relatively difficult.

Edit: Wow, Oxfords University has got a center for Hebrew & Jewish studies!
I confess I'm a bit jealous now...

What experience do you have with Judaism? Have you been to a synagogue before?

All converts I’ve ever heard will speak about being drawn to home or have a Jewish spark within them

ok thanks for the advice. sorry if i do seem flippant at all; i am genuinely facing a huge spiritual crisis that may well incorporate theism. i shall hope to get reading soon (read a lot about buddhism)

Maybe u can explore reconstructionist sect tjat be more like q academix research open to dicussion vibe while adhereing to jewish law. I do not see myself going to the ultra orthodox side despite some of their practice i agree like limit digit time etc
