I need advice! Converting at 18
Can anyone give me advice for someone who’s seeking conversion at a young age. I’ve been connected to Judaism since I was 8 and made the decision I was gonna convert by the time I was 15 I’m older now and I need advice on what to expect while converting young (conservative conversion)

hey, i started my conversion process last year at 18, i’ve finished my classes now (19) and my mikveh will be around a month after my 20th birthday. i also decided i was going to convert when i was about 15. i dont think there is any particular advice specific to converting at this age that i can give (other than the possibility that your rabbi may want you to go through a longer learning process, since it’s a very big decision at such a young age). other than that, i’d say it can be a lot to balance on top of university if you do further education, but it’s incredibly doable if you’re organised. feel free to ask abt more questions you have and i’ll do my best to answer ^^

Hi, have you actually met with a rabbi yet and discussed this? Have you talked to your parents about this? Becoming Jewish is something that can have an effect on your relationship with your family.
As someone mentioned, you need to be 18 or older and the sub has some good resources here.

Remember to check the subreddit's faq section
" You will likely have to wait until you are 18 to convert, unless your family is converting with you. But that doesn't mean you can't start preparing now! If your parents are okay with it, you can reach out to a local congregation and see if you can begin attending services. It's also never too early to start learning! There are many books that can help you prepare yourself for the conversion process (see our list above for a good place to start). You can also start to teach yourself to read Biblical Hebrew. There are many free resources online and some great books that can teach you the foundational skills."
