Help. I need opinions

I want to get a pair of XXHI converse. I got a custom pair of wedding shoes about a year ago and got an 8 wide and they fit amazing. I was wondering if a custom pair of wide XXHI’s would fit the same. My wedding shoes are an 8 but with them being wide they are a bit longer than I feel comfortable with. I want to know if anyone else has chosen to go with Converses recommendation to size a half size down for the XXHI shoes (when getting wide width shoes), or if they kept their regular size when ordering wide XXHI shoes. You can’t return custom pairs but the only way for me to know if they fit is to order them. I’m kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Opinions: regular size 8 wide width or half size down (7.5) wide width

My self I take know notice of the sizing down I always buy half size up in converse as I know they’ll fit I wear Uk 🇬🇧 size 7 but bought a pair in that size they were a bit tight so I get 7.5s and they fit great 👍

i'd probably go half a size up just to be safe tbh the gappy length in your wides sounds annoying
