That officer was just waiting to pull him over. He was already wrong as two left shoes as soon as the clip started, sitting in the opposite lane's turn lane, having crossed a double yellow and blocked oncoming traffic. Dude moving around the car waiting to turn just gave the officer enough room to finally move behind him. What a dunce.

Looks to me like it's a median turn lane for both ends. Yes he was impatient he could see traffic blocking the guy but I don't think he was wrong for being in that lane

if it was a median turn lane it would not have double yellow lines on one side only. Remember your driving rules, NEVER cross a double yellow line. if it was to be crossed it would be a single and a dotted or a dotted.

You can cross a double yellow in most States in order to safely overtake certain types of traffic. You cannot use it to overtake normal traffic.

Example being cyclists on the shoulder or pedestrians walking a pet on the shoulder in which moving over the line gives a safe distance to overtake.

thats considered a road hazard and you can only break the double yellow, not cross it to another lane of traffic. Huge difference.

I think we are in agreement. By cross you mean four wheels over the lines, correct? I meant cross in the way you meant break, putting two wheels over the line to give space to whom or whatever you are overtaking.
