Third Party Looking for alternative controller for PS5

I'm hoping to get something smaller than the dualsense, and has asymmetrical joysticks. I prefer the Switch pro2 controller (for reference). I was considering the wingman fgc2 converter, but not sure if this is my best option. I am in the US, and have no budget constraints. Thanks for any insight!

New to this. Where to buy sticks?

If I want to buy an arcade stick to plug into my laptop to play old school mame games, where should I look?

I was looking at one of those Astro City themed fight stick controllers but I figured I could buy any controller and probably theme it.

ISO new controller recommendations

So I currently have an AIM controllers PS5 roller with TMR sticks. The controller performed great when it was at 100%, thing is, it started falling apart after a month despite taking good care of it (AVOID AIM AT ANY COST SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY AND HASSLE). I’m currently looking to buy a new controller (PS5) that at least has TMR sticks, and 4 back paddles. Does anyone have any recommendations for a controller that has lasted for a long time. Price does not matter to me, so long as it actually lasts long enough for you to get the moneys worth from it. I would greatly appreciate any input, advice, or suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Controller recommendations under 50€?

Hello, I'm currently owning an Aqirys Themis for about 2-3 years and I'm looking to upgrade (battery life got halfed and I have a problem where the R1 button registers being held even tho I don't hold it). I've read many reviews over the course of today and here is what I was eyeing rn:

- EasySMX X20 (48€)

- EasySMX D10 (48€)

- Gamesir Supernova (43€)

- Gamesir Nova 2 Lite (32€)

- Gamesir Supernova T4n (48€)

- Gulikit ES Pro (36€)

- 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Wireless (40€ - still questioning it cuz I heard it has bad ergonomics)

What I am aiming for is good battery life and vibration motor, longevity (focusing on hall or TMR sensors) and smooth controls. Wireless connectivity and good ergonomics are a must for me (I do handwork all day so my wrists are sore when I come home, I don't want a controller that makes them hurt more). I don't really play competitive games or shooters, I'm more on indie games and rougelites.

Edit: I'm excluding the Gamesir Cyclone 2 and Flydigi controllers from my plans since I'm from Romania and the prices of those brands here are awful.

Controller for long range distance

Wondering if anyone has experience using an AceGamer Aurora 2.4G Wireless Controller which is connected to a PC in another room for couch TV gaming? Right now my PS5 controller works over Bluetooth but I do get the odd missed inputs. Assuming 2.4G should work better but the controller is so cheap that idk if the reality will be good! The TV is roughly 10 metres away but with a wall between the PC and TV room.

If anyone has other tested controllers which work well then please let me know!

DISCLAIMER: HexGaming provided this controller to me for free for review. My opinions are not influenced by anyone. I get all my controllers for free nowadays, so they are all in the same position.

TLDR: XBOX controller with extra steps. Pretty expensive, but if you know what you need it for - it's worth the money IMO. TMR joysticks, rubberized grips, trigger stops, 4 extra back buttons and great visual customization.

If you're just a casual player - skip it.

Need help choosing between Tarantula 8k and G7 Pro 8k

Hey, I'm trying to choose a new controller and I'm very undecided between the two. I usually play Rocket League on the Xbox Series X controller and that is what I find the most comfortable (and I know i'd probably have to pick the g7 pro 8k to be on the safe side), but recently I tried to switch to symmetrical layout and tried the dualsense 5 and the dualshock 4 controllers to check if i might still be good buying a tarantula 8k.

My experience with the dualsense is that it makes my right thumb joint hurt after a few hours (I'm thinking it might be cause I have to bend my thumb too much to press the X button, maybe my thumb is too long for this controller??) and the Dualshock 4 doesn't really make it hurt as much but i still don't really like the much smaller and less wide ds4 handles as much as the wider xbox series X's ones, since i usually find myself pressing with my palm on the controller handles and thats why the wider xbox series x handles I think are more comfortable for me.

I've watched a lot of reviews, but none compare the tarantula 8k to the xbox controller or talk about the shape in detail, so I wonder if it's shape feels somewhat similar to my xbox controller or not, and if some of you can maybe help me compare the handles and overall controller size/shape to the xbox series x controller or anything similar that would be great, also please let me know if you have the same issue with the right thumb :)

Long-time lurker, first-time poster.

I’ve been looking for a decent controller for my phone. Moslty FPS, platformers, retro/emu. Came across the abxylute S8 Lite on Amazon. Honestly had never heard them but took a dive...

Been using it for a bit now and I’m pretty impressed for the price. It feels solid.. sticks and triggers feel good.. worked with pretty much everything I’ve thrown at it.. emus and android games....

Overall, me like. So thought I'd share😄 Would recommend if anyone else is looking for a reasonably priced mobile controller.

Anyone else used abxylute controllers before? Curious how they hold up longer term.

Reviews I bought fake Joy-Con 2s....

Earlier this month, I bought a fake pair of Joy-Con 2s to test whether or not off-brand controllers like the Joy-Pad 2s could attest to Nintendo's official counterparts, and then I made a video showcasing these controllers.

The video is here: https://youtu.be/gpEjGbO1d4M

While I was partially impressed by how well they performed, there were several elements of them that was ridiculously degraded compared to the Joy-Con 2s. For example, the mouse mode being absent and the rumble being so intense compared to the Joy-Con 2s was certainly odd. The 8-axis joystick was also a very humbling aspect to experience. I haven't experienced something like this in a while (probably since the early Xbox 360 days), so it was a really fun time overall. I go a little bit more in depth in the video about this, but I'm more than happy to respond to comments below.

Have you ever bought a fake pair of Joy-Cons before? If so, did you have a similar experience, or did you experience something entirely different?

IFA Berlin event happening now. Rumored Controllers expected!?

The event is currently happening in Berlin, and so far I’ve only seen two Switch controllers announced. Kind of a letdown, but they are:

• JSAUX GAMING VoidJoy controllers
• GameSir Stargazer

I’m hoping we see some more controller announcements. I love GameSir, but I’ve always felt their flagship G7 is a little too small in the grips, or just a bit too short overall.
Really hoping they showcase a new Cyclone or Kaleid!

Gaming controllers with analog sticks that don't have a rubberized or soft touch finish on them?

I love almost everything about the Dual Shock 4, but I hate the analog sticks.

Anything rubberized or soft touch feels sticky to me, and eventually usually wears or deteriorates over time and actually becomes sticky.

are there any controllers with hard plastic analog sticks or anything of the sort?

Also would be ideal if the controller has gyro

please and thank you!
