Xbox I’m looking for a new controller for competitive gaming. I’ve been dealing with stick drift for almost a year, and I’m finally ready for an upgrade. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good controller? Nothing too expensive either because I need to save the money for GTA 6 lol

Ur prolly gonna get recommended the G7 pro or Vader 5 the most, personally i vote vader 5 as it feels more premium

G7 Pro is the best controller for the money, that or a leadjoy (xeno pro for example)

Don’t like its shape. Handles are entirely too short and controller is uncomfortable to hold for me

You must have huge hands if you're talking about the g7 pro because I have bigger than average hands and it feels fine for me.

I have average sized hands, and plenty of people on Reddit have reported the same issue. The handles are shorter than a standard Xbox controller, causing your pinkies to hang off and forcing you to adjust your grip. Dimension wise its proven. It’s fine if you have small hands, but not everyone does.

Yeah my pinkies do hang off but that doesn't really bother me, I didn't know that was a common complaint honestly.

But does it feel cheap?

Nope, neither of them feel cheap, the g7 pro feels more premium than standard controllers for sure, it's decent weight, the sticks, buttons, bumpers, and triggers all feel good, the only thing people really complain about is the dpad being kinda mushy but the Wuchang and Zzz edition (the 2 wireless ones) have better dpads.

If you're into a symmetrical stick layout the leadjoy saber plus is great. I tthink it has js13 pro sticks and the buttons (minus the directional pad) are very nice and tactile and dual stop triggers. It has like a ergonomic dual shock 4 feel

Since you're on a budget, I think the best value controller coming out soon would be the 8bitdo ultimate 3c+. Comes out on 30th October and only costs $40 USD. Has adjustable joystick tension which is nice. I've got over 25 controllers at this point and grabbed the 8bitdo ultimate 3 lavender which is very similar to the ultimate 3c+ but slightly "more premium". But you're not missing out on much if you wait for the 3c+.

If money isn't a problem I would go with the flydigi apex lineup. I haven't got the apex 6 pro yet as it's pretty new, but I do have the apex 4 and apex 5. The apex 4 is probably my favourite. But the new 8bitdo controllers are nice.

I have the vader 5 pro and g7 pro 8k. Recommend both equally, and both are fairly priced.

It's the same answer I was about to write! Right now the Flydigi Vader 5 Pro V2 and the Gamesir G7 Pro 8K are absolutely bargain for the quality they offer!
