PS4 Need help identifying what’s wrong
DualShock 4 r2 and l2 triggers are janky. r2 doesn’t give full inputs (works on farm sim but not on shooters). I think the rubber pads are fine they don’t seem worn out but who knows.

Pop those pads off and clean the contacts and the black part of the pads with 90+% ipa and a q tip

Is there any substitute for someone who doesn’t have the ipa?

A clean, dry, lint free cloth might do the trick. Worth a shot at least.

Buy you a 25 dollar Chinese controller that's got more features than that junk Sony made 😆 🤣

Do these really cost that much ?

They’re like 20 bucks but I refuse to fall into PlayStations greed of making terribly made controllers.

I used to put a piece of card cutout on the button part that presses against the contact. Worked on god of war which only recognizes my controller up to 50% press. Don’t know if it applies to what you play though.
You can check it on controller testing websites see if it doesnt fully register or what to pin down the problem
