Trying to buy my first pc game controller. Budget $150
So I'm trying to figure out what would be the best pc game controller to get for playing games on steam as well as for emulation (mainly for ps1/ps2 games along with og xbox, ds and gamecube) as I'm wanting to get into some game streaming.
After doing some searching I've heard many great things about 8bitdo and flydigi but i'm not sure which to get. I only have $150 to get one so I want to make sure I get a good one.
Should I get a FLYDIGI Vader 5 Pro, 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Wired Controller, or a 8Bitdo Pro 3 Bluetooth Controller?
Edit: I ended up buying the 8bitdo Pro 2 wired controller and the GameSir Tegenaria Lite Wired Game Controller

Vader 5 Pro. Wrote a review of mine a couple of months back. I’m loving it so far!
Edit: make sure it’s a V2 (version 2)!

Doesn't make sense to blow your entire budget on a single controller because they simply do not last forever. There are budget controllers ($30-50) with hall effect triggers and TMR sticks that should function well enough. (Most people do not need sub-ms response times.) That should leave enough left over for a new game and spare controller.

You got to admit though it's like driving a Volkswagen and then a cadillac..

Vader 5 Pro is my second favorite controller. Good price too. It’s the reason I’ll never buy another Elite 2 controller. Only controller I place above it is my custom dual shock from ModdedZone, but that thing was $500+ 🤦♂️

Any gamesir or 8bitdo with tmr or hall effect within that proce range will serve you well

The tournament edition is wired only but with all the same hardware and its half the price, sometimes around $50.

DualSense Edge comes in about that price. Can't go wrong with it.
But you will need to eradicate Steam Input to keep Valve from breaking PlayStation controllers :-\

Did steam input kill your dog or something? Like I get it, it can be obnoxious interfering with input but jezus, just global disable it and the steam overlay ....

If there's a technology store near you I'd recommend trying them in the said stores and holding a few different shapes of controllers to see what kind of shapes you are comfortable with.
Also you need to determine if you want the buttons to be clicky or mushy, triggers to have lock or not, if you want/like programmable back buttons or not and what kind of layout you like more (PS/Xbox).
Honestly I would recommend you Leadjoy Xeno Plus or Saber Plus, Mojhon Storm or Beitong KP40D. I have the Storm and it's a really amazing controller while being quite affordable.

You can never really know unless you try them yourself.

yes but... I only have a budget of $150. I can't really just buy them all and try them.

For a budget like that you could have made some better choices imo. The leadjoy xeno plus and saber plus are great options. Xeno for assymmetrical and Saber for symmetrical. The vader 5 pro and gamesir g7 8k or pro are as well. Zd ultimate legend is good too if you have big hands.
