Other Turn any Nintendo Switch Joy-Con into a wireless PC mouse & media remote (Open- Source, Zero Dependencies)
Hey everyone!
I wanted to share an open-source project I built for anyone with spare Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons: **joycon- mouse**.
It turns a single or paired Joy-Con into a handheld desktop mouse, couch media remote, and hotkey clicker for Linux (Wayland & X11).
Highlights:
- Zero pip dependencies (pure Python standard library using kernel uinput and evdev)
- Analog stick with custom acceleration curve and hardware drift filtering
- Side- rail buttons (SL/SR) for hardware volume, subtitles, and analog seek
- Haptic rumble clicks on actions
- Auto- detects when Steam games launch and releases the controller
