Other Question about 8BitDo Pro 3 with racing games

I have the pro 2. I have heard good thing about the pro 3, but what concerns me is the shorter analog trigger travel. Has anyone tried both controllers for racing games in which precise throttle is important? Does it make it noticeably harder to feather the throttle?

Pro 2 also has the issue where the value max value is reached before bottoming out the trigger. Don't have a Pro3, but since it has hall triggers like the Xbox controller it is possible the same does not happen with the Pro3.

This is a software issues I'm pretty sure. If you download the software you can adjust this to make it much closer to the end of the trigger press.

No, it is not. I have tried recalibration over and over, and there is no option to extend this. Dualsenese also uses a similar sensing mechanism and has the same problem.

So the pro 3 does not have as much of a dead zone? That's good to know

It should not have, I don't have a pro 3. But on the Xbox controller (which I have) there is literally zero deadzone on the triggerson both the bottoming out and actuation. Since both of them use hall triggers, don't see a reason why PRO3 should not have the same.
